Testimonials
When I think of the Vocal Ensemble Affectus, the first word that comes to mind is: sound. Its beauty. What the eight vocalists present is incredibly close to my heart. The color of their sound provides an immense palette of tones for me as a composer. It inspires. The activity of the Affectus group transparently showcases a different, unique side of choral music, distinguished by their intimate makeup as a vocal ensemble. This is important not only for the audience but also for our musical community. I am grateful that they choose to perform my works.
The passion and potential of the Affectus Vocal Ensemble will take them far.
I wholeheartedly support them.

Composer, arranger, pianist, and member of the Art’n’Voices Vocal Ensemble
The Vocal Ensemble Affectus is very young, and today they performed their... fourth concert. It was, of course, their debut at our festival. The potential the singers showcased today before the large audience gathered (despite it being a Monday) at St. Adalbert's Church offers great hope for a new quality in this category of ensemble performance. The singers of the Affectus Ensemble demonstrated impressive vocal culture, ease in performing complex arrangements of carols and Christmas-themed pieces, and an exceptional choice of repertoire, all indicative of their refined taste and musical sensibility. A highly successful evening.

It was an incredible concert. The artists from Poznań captivated the festival audience with beautiful interpretations of pieces spanning a wide range of styles. Affectus charmed listeners with their blend of sound and joy in performing together. It was an extraordinary evening and a magnificent festival opening.

The Vocal Ensemble “Affectus” from Poznań, active since August 2020, has mastered the art of choral music-making in a relatively short time, performing concerts and promoting choral music. I am deeply impressed by their artistic activity and extend my heartfelt congratulations to all members of the Ensemble. I have had the pleasure of attending several concerts featuring the Ensemble, which were always highly appreciated by the audience. I admired their exceptional artistic personalities, professionalism, and ability to work harmoniously together. The Ensemble is distinguished by excellent vocal projection, impeccable intonation, diction, musical articulation, and fluid phrasing. Their vocal skills and talents are further evidenced by the numerous awards and distinctions they have won at national and international choir competitions and festivals. I firmly believe that the key to the future of culture in our country lies in the people who create it. Observing the artistic development of the Ensemble, I can confidently say that they contribute significantly in this regard.

Goethe once wrote: *"Beauty must be supported, for it is created by the few and needed by the many."* The singers of the Vocal Ensemble Affectus—a group with a relatively short yet already award-winning history—prove with their passion for the harmony of human voices and their dedication to constant growth that every concert with them is a pursuit of beauty, an expression of genuine emotions, and a journey toward achieving a broad sense of harmony.

The Vocal Ensemble Affectus is a fresh addition to the choral scene in Poland and Europe. It excels in interpreting both contemporary music and works from past centuries. Its sound is reminiscent of distinguished vocal ensembles from the United Kingdom. However, it is not a mere imitation, as it has found its own identity. The ensemble's modesty and straightforwardness, attention to the form of the performed pieces, the beauty of the voices, and impeccable harmony showcase a group of skilled artists capable of lifting their audience out of everyday life and transporting them into the realm of true art.
