An innovative approach to choral music, presented in a way that is accessible to a wide audience without creating a sense of distance.

Our mission is to perform the highest quality choral music in a way that is accessible to our audience. We aim to popularize this unique branch of art and increase general interest in the world of choral music.
We strive for a perfect unity of sound while maintaining the individuality of each member. Thanks to the diverse backgrounds of each member, the Vocal Ensemble Affectus creates a truly vibrant musical organism.

Affectus was founded by singing enthusiasts who sought to find a new creative space within the choral music scene so prevalent in Poznań.
Our octet consists of professional choral conductors and experienced choristers. The ensemble's beginnings date back to August 2020. The artistic director is Tomasz Karwański – conductor, composer, and arranger.
We build our repertoire based on works by Renaissance masters as well as contemporary composers. Over the years, the ensemble has performed pieces by, among others: Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, Paweł Łukaszewski, Andrzej Bielerzewski, and Marek Raczyński.
